Return Policy:
Within 15 days of purchase, you can return most merchandise for an exchange or store credit up to the actual purchase price for up to 15 days. The item must have its original tags and packaging, be clean, in good condition, and have proof of purchase*. (See merchandise-specific exceptions below.)
"Proof of Purchase"
The easiest proof of purchase is your original purchase receipt. If you no longer have your receipt, we may be able to provide you with a Proof of Purchase from our system. We may ask for a driver's license or other identification during this process. If we cannot verify the purchaser, purchase date, and purchase price of an item, we cannot accept the return of that item.
Suspected Defective Merchandise:

If you suspect that an item you purchased is defective within the first 15 days of purchase, we can offer an immediate exchange or in-store credit. If you prefer a refund, we may first need to return the item to the manufacturer for inspection.
Specific goods exceptions:
For safety reasons, helmets can ONLY be returned in brand new condition, with all tags still attached and all original packaging.
The following are non-returnable under any circumstances:
Saddles. Consumables/Chemicals (Fly sprays, supplements, etc.) unless their packaging includes an unbroken seal. Gift certificates. All clearance merchandise, marked with a discount. Custom orders (items made to your measurements, custom color options, etc.). Engraving and embroidery. Special orders (items in styles/sizes/colors we don't stock and ordered specifically for you).

We recommend that you do not use the following equipment with your Stübben or Thorowgood saddle as they will negatively alter the fit of your saddle:

* Breastplate that attaches to the rings on the saddle - ones that attach to the girth are ok
* Anatomical Girths, Belly Guard Girths, or any girth that gapes at one end as this puts undue pressure on the xiphoid process and
sternum
* Saddle pads with a straight spine (contoured saddle pads are ok)
* Saddle pads that are not long enough for the saddle (they begin after the pommel, or end before the cantle)
* Silicone full seat breeches (especially the extra grippy ones as they will separate the top layer of the leather
from the seat and can cause wrinkling)
Best practices to maintain your saddle in good condition:
Use a mounting block to mount into the saddle. Never mount from the ground as this will flatten the flocking
on the opposite panel
Only place the saddle on a saddle rack that supports the saddle from the gullet channel and does not touch
the panels.
Clean your saddle with a glycerin saddle soap after each ride.
Do not store your saddle in a hot area, as in a hot car or closed location with no ventilation
Do not leave your saddle sitting in direct sun
Do not ride in your saddle in the rain without a waterproof cover
If you have a Stübben saddle:
Condition your saddle with hamanol or an equivalent saddle conditioner once a week. Oil your saddle with a
leather oil (preferably oakwood leather oil, or hydrophane) every 4-6 months.
Saddle Fitting Procedures:
The saddle needs to be checked for flocking touchups, the fit on your horse, inspect all hardware, as well as
the condition of billets every 6 months. We will remind you when you are do for this follow-up fitting appointment
Minor adjustments may need to be made to your EA Mattes correction pad so don’t forget the shims! Your
saddle must be exclusively used for your horse(s) that it has been fitted to.
If you choose to allow someone significantly larger than is adequate for the size of the saddle to ride in it, this
will affect the fit of the saddle negatively, and may cause injury to your horse or damage to your saddle.
Thorowgood Saddles:
These saddles are not made to last in our Caribbean weather, specifically why we advise customers to only
purchase them with the expected use duration of 5 years. The manufacturer has a guarantee of 5 years on the
tree and 1 year on parts from the initial purchase of the saddle. You must register your saddle with the
manufacturer for any of these guarantees to be valid.
Only use Thorowgood brand replacement billets
Do not attempt to change the gullet plate by yourself or by anyone other than a saddle fitter verified by SD
Saddlery.
Do not alter the flocking yourself or by anyone other than a saddle fitter verified by SD Saddlery
Not following the aforementioned recommendations and requirements will void your guarantee with Santo
Domingo Saddlery. Any issues with the saddle from that point further will need to be resolved directly with the
manufacturer
